MAHATMAN Foundation commits to empower children from underprivileged with the greatest tools of learning to realize their dream. Our mentors not just provide financial help to the child but also abilities to flourish and sustain in their lives. We know that poverty is the obstacle on the path of improvement and we can guide people in overcoming it. In the whole process, we support the evolution of mentors by providing them opportunities for having personal contact with the child and seek fulfillment in giving back to society.

We are committed to preparing a generation of people with the utmost confidence. The child finds a mentor who inspires them, believes in them, and guides them in their paths of life. Though this is a long-term journey, we hope for all to get a better perspective in life.

We are partnered with mentors present all over the globe who offer aid to people. We are unique in a way that we focus on self-development of the child as a whole through a one-to-one relationship. The program covers extensive sponsorship through immense engagement of all the members.

CHILDREN IN NEED
VIMAL SANTOSH KOKRE
Vimal does a housekeeping job in a residential society in Lavasa. Her husband is an extreme alcoholic and does not live with her family. She has two boys.Her elder son studies in wadia college with speciality in science.
Tejas, the younger one,lives with her mother and studies in 10th Grade and is really good in studies. He holds rank 1st to 3rd in his class. He loves mathematics. He wants to become IAS.
SALUBAI SITARAM JANKER
48 years old Salubai lives with her 13-year-old boy in a shackled house made of tin in Bhoini village, Maharashtra. She is separated from her husband. She is in debt due to rebuilding her house after the cyclone that happened in May 2020 destroyed her previous home and household. She is an occasional worker in other’s agricultural field.
Ganesh, a 7th-grade student is very intelligent and wants to serve in the Indian Army. He loves reading science books.
MANGAL SHIVAJI THIKDE
Mangal lives in Ramnagar village, Lavasa in Maharashtra. She works in Christ University as a gardener on a third-party payroll. Her monthly salary is Rs 7000. Her husband is an alcoholic and does not work.She has a good house but no electricity connection. She faces frequent financial need due to grown-up children’s education needs. She has two boys and they study in boarding school. Annual expense suggested by mother is Rs 25000.
Suraj, the elder brother, wants to be in the Indian army. He studies in 7th grade. Sameer studies in 6th grade and wants to become a pilot. Both of them are bright students and hold rank 2nd and 3rd in their class. New Schooling session starts from July 1st, 2020.
Mentees : We identify various children in low-income communities through the help of different organisations.
One-on-one meetings: The mentors constantly connect with the children and look after their needs. We are closely associated with the sponsors and the children to the aim that they look forward to. The organisation design activities and avail facilities in guidance of mentors as per the individual’s needs and preferences like walking in a park nearby, reading a book together or talking to each other regarding any issues, joining classes, creating jobs, working with children and many others.

We organise group mentoring sessions for the children at our centres (Lavasa). The activities are planned around the concepts of goal settings, skill developments and fun sessions. The sessions are equally excited and built around the holistic development of the child.

Our team is constantly connected with the sponsors to help them overcome any difficulty in their haul. The staff very well knows the children and their families and reviews the whole progress of the child on a 360-degree basis. We welcome feedback from our sponsors, children, and their family to ensure the whole process is smooth and it fosters great benefits on the children.

Choose a child or we will choose one for you. The sponsors are then paired based on the choice of the mentee. Once you have made the choice, we will send you a packet with the required information about the mentee. You need to then carry out your role as a mentor by guiding the family throughout their life. Your role is to participate and beyond your financial support, we encourage you to stay connected to the family.
