Our Knowledge bank empowers them with greater self-confidence and self-esteem. In cities, we seek to promote life-long reading, self-improvement, constructive social participation, and empowering people to actualize their vision.

We sponsor and mentor children from underprivileged families and provide them with abilities to flourish and sustain in their lives. Our associated sponsors work directly with the chosen family. Like a guardian, they take care of the financial, educational and advisory needs of the children and try to uplift them out of any poverty symptoms. While our organization’s full-time volunteer mentors help them develop the required skills needed to achieve any ambition that a child dreams of. We believe in being the catalyst to the cause which prepares our next generation with utmost confidence.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
We are partnered with mentors present all over the globe who offer aid to people. We are unique in the way that we focus on the self-development of the child as a whole through a one-to-one relationship. The program covers extensive sponsorship through the immense engagement of all the members.
Sponsorship & Mentorship Programme
- Our Sponsorship programme focuses on sponsoring one child from underprivileged families in India. Thus, helping him achieve his dream. There is satisfaction in sponsoring while knowing where your funds are being contributed and changing a life.
- Our Mentorship program was created to upscale the talent of the kids studying in schools in low-income communities. You as a mentor can help a child upgrade a skill, help them with exposure and opportunities to participate and excel in it. Hence, you can volunteer with us to inspire these children to become better painters, dancers, mathematicians, coders, entrepreneurs, chefs, sportsmen and help them prepare for civil services and banking services. These real-world exposers will help the kids gain socio-economic skills, great self-confidence and prepare them to take on challenges of the professional life ahead.

We facilitate you to introspect yourself, get clarity in the vision of your life, and prepare you physically and mentally to initiate your journey towards greatness.
Even as countries across the globe have seen an increase in economic growth over the past several decades, developing nations, especially India, express overall inequality within the country. Between the years 2000 and 2007, the income for the top 1% of the nation grew by nearly 213% while income growth for the bottom 40% grew by just 58% leading to the top 10% of India holding close to 70-80% of the nation’s entire wealth. The leading contribution to this inequality is the expansion of technology-based jobs in the workforce industry. Technology is a skill-based job so those who can operate and work with developing technology are higher in demand than their less-skilled counterparts. Furthermore, the patriarchal norms that have marked women as inferior created an even larger inequality between women and female children and their male counterparts. The female child is immediately discriminated against and often married off as a child bride to bear children in most societies. This leads to the portrayal of women as incompetent in nature and for jobs in the workplace.
There are several ways to decrease or at least start bridging the gap between these inequalities in India and the primary way, believe it, is to actually invest in women. This not only reduces gender inequality as a means to fulfill a moral obligation but also increases the nation’s gross domestic product or GDP. Currently, women only contribute to 17% of India, and ensuring women’s activity in the workplace has the potential to increase the GDP by almost 27%. This means extending more leadership roles to women and building a culture where the roles of women match those of men. Reforming workplace laws is another major way to start reducing economic inequalities. Reassessing minimum wages annually and raising basic income wages can bridge the increasing gap between the top 1% and the bottom 40%. The best way to ensure the policies above are focusing on the big picture which is reshaping Indian culture right from birth.
Parents of a standard family household need to not follow discriminatory practices against their female children and need to reshape how men view women in their society. Teaching these views right from childhood ensures a generation with a more modern way of thinking and therefore alters the industry set up for equality with men and women. Additionally, ensuring female children receive the same education as their brothers set them up for success in an industry that’s in high demand for skilled workers. The Mahtman foundation is a determining cause in which equality for every child is ensured and committed to the cause of reducing increasing inequalities in the place we call homes. The Mahatman Foundations’ Windom on Wheels is essentially a mobile library that started in 2020 aimed to cater to the needs of the people living in rural areas and different cities. Our foundation has introduced this library as an initiative to promote reading and understanding among people of different age groups. Features of this program include book discussions, visits to old age homes, and reading books together. These programs start as an outlet to facilitate a discussion on better education for women and children as a means to promote lifelong learning skills in rural sectors that don’t have readily available access to books and start a conversation about social responsibility and creating a new lifestyle. Empowering underprivileged children in our community for a hope for a more progressive future starts by helping them realize their dream contributing to a better economic future. Another program of the Mahthman foundation is called “Sponsor a Child” which started as a personal request by friends of Sam Adettiwar, the charity founder. Successful professionals in different career fields including education, business, sports, and literature act as a mentor for a child in need and guide them throughout their life. These programs allow connection to the new generation in which mentors literally have the ability to reshape a future generation empowering young women and underprivileged children to a future where everyone is equal.
