MAHA RETREATS are organized for self-transformation through introspection, acceptance, and rigorous physical and mental practices. We focus on great coordination between body and brain. We make you live through the self-explanatory journey that shall result in a balanced mind and body. Retreat includes the idea of living a secluded life filled with varying activities to boost your self-development. The mission revolves around self-progress through building self-awareness, self-love, self-discipline, self-communication, gratitude, and self-actualization.
OUR RETREAT ACTIVITIES
ADVENTUROUS TREKKING
In the hilly ranges of Western and Eastern Ghats, we offer trekking adventures to all age-groups. Being a soft-adventure sport we begin with day-hikes and multi-day treks to let people know about their ability and aptitude. It is a process of evolving and growing with nature amidst the chaos. Treks to different hilly areas are organized with pre-session relating to map-reading and making people aware of the culture of the place visiting. A continuous self-enhancement process through numerous activities binds different people together at the far off place.

BOOTCAMPS
A hardcore training session is organized for people with necessary precautions. We initiate training in aspects of self-discipline and self-growth. Sessions in athletics, intense and light exercises, and martial arts are offered with rigorous training. A camp-fire at night with fun-filled activities is organized to lighten up the moods.
MEDITATION & YOGA
Our meditation and yoga sessions with Sam and other professionals, throughout the retreat process, are the core of Maha Retreat. Our mission is to lead you to self-evolvement and introspection. Practices like intentional meditation and gratitude meditation will greatly enhance your physical and mental well-being.
MARTIAL ART TRAINING
We engage in rigorous physical activities with individuals for training them in alertness, focus, core strength, body energy, and activeness. Kalaripayattu, the Indian Martial Arts with different levels of expertise are organized during retreats to be physically and mentally fit.
GUIDED NUTRITION
Over the time of retreats, good care is taken of individuals in terms of nutrition and health. Measured food is offered during the retreat on the basis of their nutritional value, individual body requirement, and activities of the day. Sessions on “Nutrition: Methods” and “What is a healthy Nutrition diet” are organized via professionals to impart learnings of food habits and diets.
WISDOM SESSIONS
Great Wisdom is a prerequisite for a greater self. We offer learnings to enhance the abilities and capabilities of individuals in a wider spectrum. Such sessions include brain-storming topics, Question & Answer sessions with Sam, and MahaTalks from great individuals of achievements.

The first-ever milestone of learning in secular philosophies is self-discipline, which has been a highly valued practice. Self-discipline is a subconscious, continuing process that directs the self to the path of achievements. The first practice in Maha Retreat – Self-Discipline; shall make you aware of a few practical tips to incorporate in your daily life.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FITNESS
Today we live in a world where we have so many options when it comes to taking care of our body and yet we often neglect to do the same. Besides our usual workouts, we have other equally interesting options such as yoga, dance, martial arts, functional training and other simple things that we could do when left to our own devices such as jogging brisk walking, climbing a hill or cycling. We aim at achieving Great Health through physical and mental fitness – Sweat, Stretch, Smile, Nourish, and Sustain are the cores of attaining a healthy body.
SELF COMMUNICATION
The communication that you carry out with yourself is of crucial importance – its grammar, tone, and content will determine whether you want to crawl into some hole and die or wake up energized every morning to do great things. Mahatman philosophy reveals a deeper need for positive Self Communication – one that is inextricably tied to the workings of the human brain. Self Discipline, Self Image, and Self Love are all the tools you must take up and use to achieve Self Actualization.
SELF GRATITUDE
Gratitude towards yourself and others maintains equanimity among people.
Learning self-gratitude through developing communication skills is the key. A famous quote by Lucille Ball, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line” is an actual practice marked by awareness, strength, and energy. Self Love is doing everything that will keep away harm and negativity from your own self. Self Love is loving your own thoughts, dreams, goals, words, songs, actions, limbs, body, your very breath.
SELF LOVE
Self Love means that you never do anything to hurt or damage yourself – whether in body or mind. Self Love is taking time off during the weekend to go to an art gallery or attend a meditation retreat on your own. ? Self Love is refusing to pillory yourself for such setbacks – real or perceived – and instead of letting yourself know, “hey it’s OK, we’ll do better next time”. We at MAHATMAN aim to build all these aspects of one’s life in a more gentle and prominent way.

RETREAT FINANCING
All services that include lodging and boarding are cost-free and this is possible due to donations received from grateful old students who wish to help others. Teachers and organizers do not receive any compensation as they have agreed to serve with the purity of purpose.
We hope that participants appreciate the commerce-free environment. By participating in the retreat you will give others the opportunity to be generous towards you. You can also make a donation with the retreat under the purpose of helping others through our various programs.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
We request a fully-refundable security deposit in terms of cash or cashier’s check made payable to MAHATMAN Foundation.

The deposit is thankfully returned to the participant at the end of the retreat provided the participant makes a genuine effort at completing the course thoroughly following the daily schedule and the code of noble conduct.
